Qatar takes the lead in negotiations to free Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas

Qatar takes the lead in negotiations for the release of Israeli hostages kidnapped by the terrorist group Hamas. The information is confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, headed by Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
Several Qatari mediators are engaged in negotiating the release of Israeli women and children held captive in the Gaza Strip by the terrorist group Hamas, which has launched a series of violent attacks on Israel.
In the current context, Qatar's role is extremely important, both for the Middle East and for the whole world. Qatar is an actor that can negotiate with all parties involved in the conflict and it can facilitate discussions between them.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar confirmed in an article for Reuters the involvement of the Qatari authorities in the mediations that would aim at an exchange of prisoners between Israel and Hamas.
Negotiations are being conducted by Qatar, together with the United States of America, to facilitate the release of prisoners and to stop attacks on civilians. A source close to the negotiations said they were "moving positively".
The negotiations come in the context in which the terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel on Saturday morning, killing more than 700 Israelis and taking hostages from among civilians: women, children, the elderly and also soldiers. Israel responded with armed attacks, killing more than 500 Palestinians.
